An opportunity for young creatives to learn top photography tips with award-winning photographer, Lamar Francois, in this unique workshop series and city centre exhibition opportunity.
Calling all Photography Creatives! We have an amazing opportunity to join award-winning photographer, Lamar Francois on a very special series of four photography workshops, starting on 7th February.
Lamar will share his top tips on taking the perfect city scape images. Participants will then have the opportunity to select and submit their best image to form part of an exhibition taking place in Nottingham City Centre.
Starting out by making images as a hobbyist alongside studying a Mathematical Physics degree, photography became Lamar's calling - winning the photography category at the 2012 Young Creative Awards. Later Lamar was able to build this into a business with the help of The Prince's Trust - while gradually building clients to be able to pursue this full time. Lamar's work focusses on making candid images to tell the story of arts and cultural organisations in the Midlands and beyond.
In this very special series of workshops, Lamar is looking at sharing some of the tips and techniques he's learned over the time of his photography, exploring the streets and surrounds of Nottingham to find and develop creative opportunities too - returning to his first love, photographing the buzz of city scenes. He will then lead further sessions, helping participants to edit images and decide which ones you would like to showcase in a city centre exhibition organised by Young Creatives Nottingham.
