In these three short videos, photographer (and 2019 YCA winner) Jessica Pearson talks through her process of research, motivation, collaboration and presentation.
Jessica Pearson won the Nottingham Young Creative Award for Photography (19-24 age group) in 2019. As part of the Young Creatives at Home project, Jessica created this series of creative talks about the “creative workflow” she used for her project, ReStyled.
ReStyled was an exploration of second-hand fashion as an alternative to “fast fashion”. Every week 11 million items of clothing end up in landfill. Unsustainable, throwaway fashion is putting increasing pressure on our planet.
We are very grateful to the Wesleyan Foundation for their support of Young Creatives Nottingham.
