2012

In 2012, in the year of the London Olympics and the Cultural Olympiad, Nottingham played host to the first World Event Young Artists (WEYA). Our brief was ‘Nottingham Welcomes The World’ and we asked entrants to show us the ways in our diverse city and multicultural city welcomes the world. The Awards Ceremony took place at Nottingham Contemporary gallery. Guest presenters included award-winning director and screenwriter William Ivory.
