Information about the awards can be found below, however if you require further assistance please contact us.
View details on the YCA entry criteria for more information and then submit your entry to us.
After you submit your entry you will receive an email confirmation. Judging will take place after the closing date. Shortlisted entrants for each category will be announced via social media. Winners will be announced at an event in May 2024. Exact dates TBC.
You can only enter one piece of work per category, so make sure it is your best piece and complete the application form, detailing how it meets the brief.
You can enter as many categories as you wish but can only submit one entry per category. You will need a separate application form with each entry in the different categories.
You will need to be aged between 11 and 24 by the closing date for entries to enter the competition.
If you are aged between 11 and 16 years old, your online entry will need approval from a parent, guardian, teacher or responsible adult. If you are a group including any 11-16 year olds, the same applies.
The awards are open to all young creative people who live, study or work in Nottingham. So you may live outside the city, but as long as you attend a school, college or university within the city, or work in Nottingham, you may still enter. We define the eligible area of Nottingham as the parts of the "Nottingham Urban Area" (defined by the Office for National Statistics) within Nottinghamshire. Please see this map for clarification.
We are always looking for help with promoting the Young Creative Awards, so if you have a large network of young people who may want to enter the awards then please let us know and we will supply the information for you to send on to them.
Alternatively you may wish to offer mentoring opportunities or work experience, or to supply a prize for a winner, again please do contact us.
If you wish to sponsor the awards, help out with providing exhibition space etc., then we would also love to hear from you.
