We are looking for your most interesting or exciting photographic images that showcase your creative eye with the opportunity to demonstrate your photography skills. Your photographs may be any genre or topic, from portraiture to landscapes, still life to sports photography; the choice is yours.
To enter the Photography category you must submit your work in electronic format only. You may submit one, two or three images only. If two or three images are submitted they must be on the same theme.
If more than three images are submitted they will be disqualified.
Images need to be submitted digitally and can be colour or black & white, taken on any camera device. Please state what type of camera (mobile phone, compact, DSLR etc.) has been used on your supporting statement.
The judging panel would prefer to see images that have used photographic skills with minimal additions or digital manipulations. Where imaging software is used it should be applied to enhance the photographic image.
The total file sizes of a maximum of three images should be no more than 6MB. Entrants should keep their larger file/s for printing if requested by the judging panel.
The supporting statement should explain the choice of subject matter, creative intention, and use of photographic technique (lighting/movement/digital enhancement/exposure) to provide full understanding of the photographic image or images as a set of no more than three.
Entrants are advised that judges will make their decisions based on the images AND the supporting statement combined.
